Love the ACV Shampoo, gently cleans the Hair feeling squeaky clean, shiny and Conditioned. I didn’t have to use Conditioner, as it is easy to comb out w/o leaving residue or buildup.Best Clarifying Shampoo I have ever tried, all other ones, have always left my hair either so dry and matted/ or with buildup (not sure which), but not this one.I love the way my hair feel and look and it stay that way for several days! It does leave you hair feeling a bit dry at times, especially in the cold winter months, my hair always react to the cold air and gets frizzy and feeling dry quite easily and this somehow adds to that, but so does some other shampoos as well unless they contain moisturizers. My hair also react to Hard or Mineralized water and does the same thing. Just use some Conditioner for those times.

I HAD very dry hair. Getting drier and drier as the weeks went by. When I washed my hair, it was like it was stuck together in chunks and when I tried to rinse it felt like super glue in it ,it was that bad! I had such a hard time trying to comb through it. It was like straw! The only product that I was using on my hair was heat styling spray. It makes it feel soft, but that didn’t even work anymore. I tried expensive shampoos and conditioners, treatments and nothing was working. I never thought that it was from product buildup on my hair. I do color my hair and straighten it. I just figured it was completely dead from that. This shampoo had excellent reviews. … and rightfully so. my hair is so soft! I washed my hair once in the shower and it was 85% softer then I rinsed and washed it again and it was pretty close to 100% soft. (This is the first time using it)when I was rinsing the shampoo out it felt smooth like softened butter. I was Amazed! It was so easy to comb through my wet hair even without my styling spray. After a dried and styled it, it was still so very soft! I Love my hair again! Great shampoo to remove years of built up product on your hair. I highly recommend it.

Shiny Clean Hair
I have a motorhome and therefore use hard water to wash my hair. Ugh. But wow, this stuff retains my blonde highlights beautifully, my hair feels clean, it’s not greasy a few hours after washing and it’s cheap!

I’ve tried a few of these clarifying shampoos and this has been the best! The smell is not as strong as you would think. It lathers up well and keeps my hair fresher and less greasy for longer than many other brands. I would say its fairly moisturizing.I will continue to use this!

Strips the pool chemicals from my hair
I use this whenever I go to the pool to take out the hard chemicals that flatten my hair. Other shampoos can’t seem to take out the chemicals unless I add baking soda, which is kind of difficult to keep dry in the shower.

I’ve been rinsing with Apple cider vinegar, which is great for My hair. Loved finding Aveeno Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo. Works very well. Going to repurchase. No real scent, but if the shampoo gets in your eyes, it feels like vinegar, so rinse well.

Holy grail!
I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on expensive shampoos, conditioners, and hair products trying to achieve soft shiny hair only to be left with a greasy or overly dry disaster. Then I tried this stuff and my hair has never looked better. It’s so soft and shines more than it ever has! No greasy weigh down. The smell is nice. I love it.

I bought this for my daughter. Her scalp gets oily quickly, has to be washed daily. This did not dry her hair out and she’s using every other day. I haven’t tried skipping a wash day yet but it’s been less than a week. It smells like apples too.

The best shampoo I have ever used in 25 years of my life. Awesome for super oily hair, doesn’t strip your hair and makes it feel dry either. Don’t know how they came up with this magic. The price is also great. I would recommend giving it a try

No more oily hair!
Ok, so I’ve only used this shampoo once but it has already blown my mind. I washed my hair last night so it’s been probably 15 hours since my wash. I normally would’ve had to apply dry shampoo TWICE by now! I haven’t used any dry shampoo and my hair still looks so clean! It is also so incredibly soft to the touch, I noticed some reviews talking about frizz. I haven’t noticed any excess frizz but that may be because I blew dry my hair instead of letting it dry naturally. The smell is nice as well, it reminds me a lot of the classic “Winter Candy Apple” scent from Bath & Body Works. If any of my opinions change I’ll come back and edit this but as of right now, this is my favorite shampoo ever!

Works great on dry/weird hard from crappy shower
My hair was driving me insane after moving into an apartment with a bad showerhead/pipes. It was getting super dry and tangled, clumpy, and overall annoying to deal with despite not using any chemical or heat treatments on my hair. I did a little research and settled on this shampoo and it worked IMMEDIATELY. It became way softer and more manageable and actually felt like my hair again. After a few washes, it got even better.I was use it every other day with no drying-put effects. I naturally have fine but thick, wavy hair and a normal scalp. If you have hard water or just can’t figure out why your hair feels weird, I definitely recommend trying it especially for the price.

Itchy scalp
During the winter my scalp gets so itchy due to dry skin! I tried this and it completely rehydrated my hair in one wash! It actually smelled pretty good, I was worried about that because of the apple cider vinegar in it!

Oily girlies this is for you
I wash my hair daily and I stared noticing even after a wash it would feel oily.. I tried changing my shampoos a few times and none worked. I saw this on recommendations on TT and I’m so glad I ordered it!! Today was my first wash and I can tell the difference already. I’m SHOOK. I know this is going to revive my scalp!!

Alternative to Ouai Detox
When I first got pregnant, I couldn’t stand the smell of my Ouai Detox shampoo. But I still needed something cleansing once or twice a week to replace my normal shampoo to make sure I didn’t have that build up or dandruff from my shampoo. I got this Aveeno shampoo with apple cider vinegar, and it was perfect. The smell was light and non offensive and I felt that it did the same thing for my hair that my much more expensive Ouai Detox was doing.

Oily or normal hair here’s the deets!
This review will serve those with extremely oily hair types and normally oily after two days between washes hair types. I bought this for my son, a teenager who has extremely overactive oil glands. His scalp stays oily and he experiences clogged pores and acne all around his hairline and in his scalp. He can wash his hair at night and by the morning he wakes up looking as if his head were dipped in oil. So, this is our second bottle and we are adequately pleased with the overall performance of the Aveeno Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo. My son’s hair seemed to become immune to his regular degreasing shampoo (Maple Holistics Degrease Shampoo, also on Amazon) so we were seeking to alternate between products to keep that “immunity” from happening. This product was one alternate and as a bonus seemed to help his scalp from being itchy unlike the other shampoo, which is a BIG plus for him (hence the second bottle). I noticed his scalp was not breaking out still, not itchy, and it did degrease well, although not quite as well as the other product. If you have a type hair that is not overly oily, like myself, you can use it as a good clarifying shampoo. I used it a few times and my hair felt really soft and bouncy. I would add that the Aveeno may be a small bit more clarifying than the Suave Clarifying shampoo sold at about $2/ 30oz. bottle but with two washes per shower from the Suave you’d get very similar results. So, if price is a concern Suave may be the better route (we use Suave as our third alternate).I rated 4 stars instead of 5 for this reason. $7 for a 12oz. bottle that works only slightly, if any, above the bargain brand is not deserving of 5 stars. For the concern of the smell, it is not really vinegary more of a sweet soapy smell. I finish with a conditioner so that scent becomes the prominent one, my son likes the smell plus it doesn’t linger.

Pleasantly surprised
I’ve been looking for a new shampoo for a while now and have tried everything from indie brands to expensive salon brands and haven’t been satisfied. I was a little hesitant with this shampoo based on the mixed reviews and people saying it made their hair dry. But I figured since it was pretty inexpensive, I’d give it a try. I bought the shampoo and conditioner. I almost never use the corresponding conditioner with drugstore shampoos, usually favoring hair masks instead, but I wanted to try to the whole set. Wow—I was PLEASANTLY surprised. I have fine hair that’s a bit thin due to some thyroid issues. This shampoo and conditioner left my hair feeling sooooo soft. I used the shampoo just once and got an incredible lather (make sure your hair is thoroughly wet first). Then I used the conditioner from root to tip, something I don’t usually do, but again, wanted the full experience. I let it sit in my hair for a little while, about 5-7 mins, while I did the rest of my shower routine. It rinsed out and left no residue. I was able to comb my hair with no tangles at all. I let my hair air dry with no other product (I usually use a leave-in conditioner but didn’t use it), and it was so incredibly soft, had some bounce, and even carried the light apple-y fragrance from the products. My hair was even shinier, and I love shiny hair.All in all, this was more than worth the money and I’m very happy with the results I got.

All shampoos are the same? Apparently not. Yay!
I never thought I’d be moved to write a review of a shampoo, but this stuff is THAT good. I got the same soothing clean that I’d get with an apple-cider vinegar rinse without the smell and without over drying.My hair has always been “my thing.” I’m blessed with a lot of it and people have, in the past, stopped me in the street to comment on how pretty it is. So, you might imagine how I felt when, in the middle of the pandemic, something crazy started happening with my scalp–mostly that I could see WAY more of it. At first, I assumed it was the stress of nearly ending up homeless, but it was still thinning even after we got “rescued.” An oral vitamin B complex with biotin seemed to slow the migration a bit, but then I started to notice that my scalp was itchy and I had a fine powder on my hairbrush. [I’ve never had dandruff and never heard of dandruff causing hair loss anyway.] I have an appointment with a dermatologist, but obviously–these days–that’s not a top priority. Still, my head was driving me nuts. Apple cider vinegar (as a rinse) helped, but then I smelled like vinegar until my next shampoo. A clarifying shampoo helped less, but also dried my hair out beyond what a conditioner could fix.And then I found this stuff!Right away, I liked that it had little to no scent. I noticed immediately that my scalp felt more clean while I was washing it. What really made me happy was that, AS I was rinsing it out, I could feel that my hair actually felt clean but not stripped dry. My scalp looks super clean, doesn’t itch, and I haven’t seen a single speck of “powder” on my hair brush since I started using it (about three weeks/nine shampoos ago). I’m still seeing more scalp than I was two years ago, but at least it’s clean and the hair that’s there is clean, soft, and shiny. Yay!

Perfect for Oily Scalp and Dry Ends!
I’ve spent my lifetime trying to balance out my oily scalp with the dry hair ends. That includes watching YouTube videos on how to properly apply conditioner (on ends only) but you know if you’ve got short hair, that’s almost impossible to do. This shampoo has been a game changer for me! I no longer have to wash my hair on the daily, furthering the damage to my my ends. It smells yummy, is strong enough to clean my scalp and roots but gentle enough that my ends are finally beginning to look decent again! Try it! You won’t be sorry and your search will be over!

Does what is says – It’s definitely a Clarifying Shampoo
I had started to notice an oily, tacky texture only on the top rear of my scalp while in the shower. As soon as my hair was wet it felt really weird. I’ve never used a lot of styling products so I couldn’t understand what that weird, annoying texture was from. It was suggested to me that it might be caused by a build-up of conditioners that might not have rinsed out all the way or perhaps it had something more to do with the quality of (or, the lack of quality) water in my city’s plumbing. Regardless of what caused it, I just wanted it gone. It was gross.After reading about the clarifying properties of Apple Cider Vinegar I decided to give Aveeno’s shampoo version a try. WOW, what a difference. I used this shampoo 2 or 3 times a week for my first bottle (supplementing with my go-to shampoo the others days) and now I will continue to use it at least once a week because it really does improve the texture and softness of my already super thin/fine hair and I don’t ever want that awful oily, tackiness to come back.After the first use, I never noticed the sick tacky texture again. I lived with it for several months and after just one use of Aveeno’s Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo I never felt it again. It’s been several months now since my first use of this shampoo and my hair still feels normal. I am finally free from that whatever that tacky buildup was. I am so grateful.Thank you Aveeno, for making a product that actually works.

for oily hair
i bought this because i figured it would work best with my oily hair and i wanted something sulfate free. it doesn’t smell bad but doesn’t smell great to me either it really doesn’t have much of a strong smell but it does lather good and you can’t smell the vinegar like you would think. after the first wash it made my hair feel soft and clean and no longer oily. i will keep using to see further results

ACV shampoo for the win!
I ordered this shampoo to cleans my scalp which has been really gross the last 4 months or so, Combating dry scalp; inflamed with fungal acne that has been annoying and sometimes painful. I have used this 2 times since receiving it a few days ago and I’m amazed by the results. I don’t think I’ll be using it every wash but definitely once a week. The lather is so good and covers all areas of my scalp and hair and it has the ACV smell but it’s light and pleasant. Hair care staple!

Wow! Love it
For the price and quality, I might be ready to swear by this clarifying shampoo. I have low porosity, straight and thin hair that’s prone to build up and takes forever to dry. After one wash, I felt my hair coming back to life and drying much quicker. I was shocked. It seemslike it’ll be gentle enough for me to use once a week. If you’re hesitant, it’s worth a shot! I think it could work on all hair types but use frequency would vary by your hair type.

I got super oily hair, I’m talking oily at the end of everyday. I have to wash my hair at least once a day, but this shampoo helps out soooo much. It makes my hair all shiny and i could go up to 2-3 days before it get bad. It feels clean, it smells clean, and you can definitely see a difference.

Fast relief!
Embarrassing as it is to admit, I have a patch of scalp psoriasis that drives me absolutely crazy. I feel like I have tried everything – multiple prescriptions, Neutrogena T/Gel, Denorex, scalpicin, castor oil, tea tree oil. I generally figured that the stinkier ones would work better, but truthfully nothing made much difference.Since apple cider vinegar is the latest miracle for everything, I went looking for a vinegar shampoo and decided to go with this one because it is a brand name, I know oats help irritated skin, and the price was reasonable. At the time I tried it, the psoriasis was going through an excruciatingly itchy phase.When the shampoo arrived, I took a sniff of the shampoo and was both concerned and relieved that it smells nice. I assumed my hair would smell okay, but that I would finish the day with a miserable bleeding scalp.The first day I used it – first day! – it staved off the itching completely for at least three hours, which is miraculous. After that I applied my prescription ointment to supplement and ended up with a fairly comfortable day. I’ve been using it every day since and am only supplementing with the prescription a couple of times per week (and I’m writing this in the winter!) I’m online right now adding another bottle or two to my cart and will also try the rinse.In terms of hair, I’m not a shampoo connoisseur and my shoulder-length hair has minimal heat/chemical damage (no highlights since COVID started). This shampoo leaves it clean and shiny – I have no complaints in that area.As for the fragrance, it is pretty subtle overall. There is a little bit of minty smell to it, but it isn’t overpowering like some of the coal tar or tea tree oil products. It may not be for everybody, but I like it, and knowing that the shampoo actually helps battle the itch, to me it is Eau d’Aaaah!Bottom line, I’ve been battling this itchy spot since high school (I’m now 50) and this product is the ONLY thing that has ever made any significant difference. I will be using this indefinitely – I couldn’t be more satisfied.

It so good. As someone will hair that’s gets oily the next day, this is it. I got tired of buying half sized bottles of luxury shampoos for the shame effect. Kerastase is good but this is the same thing in a bigger, wayyyy less expensive bottle. So mad I found out about it this late. Holy grail. Aveeno anything is top tier.

Removed build up of shampoo and conditioner without cider vinegar smell.When I was young we used to wash our hair and rinse with cider vinegar for shine, removal of shampoo and conditioner build up. It would take forever to rinse out the smell. This is great to use 2 to 3 times a weekif you are a daily washer like me. Leaves a great shine! I use a scalp massager when I shampoo to really get my scalp clean. Feels terrific!! Well groomed!

WOW it cleans!
UPDATE: still love this. Have noticed the thinning hair on my scalp has started going away (a little bald spot is completely gone now). Even my sis has noticed! My scalp is less itchy after using this product and I think the reduction in inflammation has helped my hair grow back.I have an oily scalp and this made My scalp is SO clean. A little went a long way! And it smells good! I actually added rosemary oil to my hair afterwards cause my scalp was so dry lol. Make sure you get a hydrating conditioner or leave in conditioner or oil for after showers using this.

This shampoo detoxifies your hair and Aveeno never ceases to amaze me with their quality products! The smell isn’t too strong and isn’t a bad smell either. So, if you’re someone who is sensitive to strong smells, you’ll do fine with this. I believe this is better suited for hair that gets oily rather quickly but overall strips it gently.
